Areaperta is a project developed within the framework of the Pisa Research Area aimed at promoting scientific culture through dissemination initiatives, both for citizens and with tailored events for students.
The name itself [ndr. Openarea] leads to the idea of opening the research doors, through multidisciplinary conferences focused on topical issues such as, for example, ecological and digital transition, cultural heritage, health. The proposal for schools, especially secondary schools, is organized in collaboration with teachers and concerns current topics of increasing interest to students, such as environmental protection and some of the main youth discomfort issues.
Conference speakers are researchers and experts from the Italian National Council of Research (CNR) network, as well as from the entire scientific community.
One of Areaperta's goals is also to promote innovative formats for dissemination, which break the lecture-conference scheme, to stimulate an open and interactive dialogue with the audience.
